While we won’t be getting the 2025 edition of the July Birthday Mix series from Dj Jaivane, he’s giving us a better alternative, the release of his long awaited album, ‘Onkgopotse.’
DJ Jaivane is a force to be reckoned with inside of the Amapiano scene. Since making his burst into the scene, he has kept bodies rocking left and right with his tasty productions. Today, he’s out again with another collection of melodious beats via his newest album, ‘Onkgopotse.’
Amapiano didn’t just grow to become the biggest genre in South Africa. People pushed the sound and contributed to its evolution. And as you already know, there are untold stories of every evolution that has ever taken place in history, and every cut off the album tell these stories through melodies and elements that formed the corner stone of what we today know as Private school Piano.
‘Onkgopotse‘ is made up of 25 tracks and it features support from the likes of TribeSoul, Villosoul, BitterSoul, Culprit 101, Basaya, Russell Zuma, Sipho Magudulela, Ciniso, Tman Xpress, Kabza De Small, Russell Zuma, Sipho Magudulela, The Bless and Smaki 08. This is one hell of an project and for once, DJ Jaivane’s production craftsmanship shines through like a shooting star in the every cuts on the album.
Whether behind the decks or in the studio DJ Jaivane remains focused on creating melodic experiences that resonate and uplift, and this is true for ‘Onkgopotse.’
