Shilpa Dev was the ex-wife of the late Indian actor Mukul Dev. The couple married in the early 2000s and had a daughter named Sia. However, their marriage ended in separation around 2004–2005. Shilpa left Mukul and moved out of their home with their then 2-year-old daughter, Sia .
Following the separation, Mukul Dev reportedly lived alone in Mumbai and became increasingly reclusive. The emotional toll of the divorce, along with the deaths of his parents, deeply affected him, leading to a period of isolation and depression .
Despite the personal challenges, Mukul occasionally shared glimpses of his daughter on social media. In December 2022, he posted a birthday message for Sia, referring to her as a “lovely lady” on her 20th birthday .
