Early Life and Education

Born on May 3, 1979, in Mbaise, Imo State, Nigeria, Genevieve was raised in Lagos as the fourth of eight children. Her father worked as an engineer, and her mother was a nursery school teacher. She attended Methodist Girls College in Yaba, Lagos, and later earned a bachelor’s degree in Creative Arts from the University of Lagos. During her university years, she began auditioning for acting roles in Nollywood.

Early Start: Genevieve began her acting career at the age of 8 in the Nigerian television series Ripples. She also appeared in commercials for brands like Pronto beverage and Omo detergent.
Film Debut: In 1998, at 19, she made her Nollywood debut in the film Most Wanted. She gained prominence with roles in movies such as Last Party, Mark of the Beast, and Ijele.
