Early Life & Education
Born in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, Anushka was raised in Bangalore. Her father, Colonel (Retd.) Ajay Kumar Sharma, served in the Indian Army, participating in significant operations like the Kargil War, while her mother, Ashima Sharma, is a homemaker. She completed her schooling at Army School, Bangalore, and graduated with a degree in arts from Mount Carmel College. Initially aspiring to a career in modeling or journalism, she moved to Mumbai to pursue modeling full-time.
Film Career
Anushka made her acting debut in 2008 with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, opposite Shah Rukh Khan. She gained recognition with roles in films like Band Baaja Baaraat (2010), Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012), PK (2014), Sultan (2016), and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016). Her performance in Sui Dhaaga (2018) was also well-received.
Producer & Entrepreneur
