Nuella Njubigbo (born March 18, 1984) is a prominent Nigerian actress, scriptwriter, and entrepreneur known for her versatility in Nollywood and her ventures in fashion and skincare.
Early Life & Education
Born in Aguda, Surulere, Lagos State, Nuella hails from Umujiokwu in Ozubulu, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State. She is the first of three children in a family where her mother was a teacher, instilling discipline and a love for the arts.
Nuella attended Kemester Nursery & Primary School and Eric Moore College in Surulere before transferring to Federal Government Girls College, Owerri. She obtained a diploma in Creative Arts and Design from the University of Port Harcourt and later earned a bachelor’s degree in Government and Public Administration from Imo State University. She completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Delta State in 2013.

Nuella’s journey into Nollywood began in 1999 at the age of 15 with her debut in the film Royal Destiny. She has since featured in over 150 movies, including:

Nuella married film director Tchidi Chikere on March 29, 2014, and they have a daughter, Tessy Chikere, born on December 2, 2014. Their marriage ended in 2022 due to irreconcilable differences. In November 2023, Nuella welcomed her second child, a son named Munachimso Giovanni. She reportedly had a court wedding with Jean Carlos, ex-husband of actress Uche Ogbodo, in late 2022.
