A new biography titled Love, Freddie by Lesley-Ann Jones unveils a previously unknown aspect of Freddie Mercury’s life: that he fathered a daughter in 1976. The book reveals that Mercury had a child, referred to as “B,” with the wife of a close friend. Now 48 years old, “B” is a medical professional residing in Europe and a mother. She shared that she maintained a close and loving relationship with Mercury during the last 15 years of his life. Her existence was known only to Mercury’s inner circle, including Mary Austin, his parents, and sister. Before his death in 1991, Mercury entrusted her with 17 personal journals, chronicling his life from childhood in Zanzibar to his final days battling AIDS. These journals form the foundation of the biography, offering an intimate look into Mercury’s private world. The book is scheduled for release on September 5, 2025 .
